Chris is the Founding Chief Executive Officer of Dhamana Guarantee Company, an East Africa-focused credit guarantor that provides irrevocable guarantees to unlock local currency financing for infrastructure and real economy projects. He leads Dhamana’s mission to mobilise domestic institutional capital by de-risking investments and enabling banks and pension funds to extend long-term financing, particularly in sectors such as off-grid and distributed energy.

Chris also serves as Board Chair of the Africa Minigrid Developers Association (AMDA), where he supports the growth of the off-grid energy ecosystem across the continent.

He brings over 20 years of experience in project and infrastructure finance, having previously held roles at the IFC (Kenya) and PwC (London) and Mott MacDonald (Southampton), where he worked across the full transaction lifecycle - from origination to financial close - structuring and mobilising capital for infrastructure development in Africa and globally.
