Nominated by GuarantCo, Christopher Vermont is a pioneer in local currency guarantees with a distinguished career in project finance and capital markets. As the founding CEO of GuarantCo, he successfully led the organization until 2017 and was instrumental in establishing InfraCredit in Nigeria, where he currently serves as a Non-Executive Director.

Chris has played a key role in founding two additional local currency guarantee companies in Nigeria, and Kenya, as well as a renewable energy company in India. In the UK, he chairs a £1 billion property business and the leading Lloyd’s broker for Credit and Political Risk Insurance.
